About The Position
The State of Ohio is a drug-free workplace that prohibits the use of marijuana. This position may be subject to additional restrictions. This is a permanent, full-time role in Preble County. The selected candidate will be placed in the classification for which they meet minimum qualifications. The role involves serving the public by making Ohio roads safer. Training will be provided to obtain CDL licensure if not already held. Responsibilities include highway maintenance activities such as flagging, pothole patching, repairing guardrails, litter pickup, and mowing, as well as performing snow and ice operations.
Requirements
- Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary.
- Must obtain Class B Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement without airbrake restriction.
- Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & decimals, percentages & fractions; ability to read, write & speak common English vocabulary; 3 mos. trg. or 3 mos. exp. in operation of basic equipment.
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with tanker endorsement without airbrake restriction.

Responsibilities
