About The Position

Morgan & Morgan is a personal injury law firm whose employees work to protect consumer rights. The High Value Case Manager manages a varied caseload and assists attorneys with settlement development, document preparation, and correspondence. The role calls for an organized, customer-focused, and empathetic person who can manage work with minimal supervision. It is an in-office position five days per week.

Requirements

At least 2 years of legal or insurance adjuster experience.
Ability to multitask, organize, prioritize, work in a fast-paced environment, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
Proficient knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, procedures, practices, depositions, mediation, and hearings.
Strong negotiating skills.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Prior experience as a case manager preferred.

Responsibilities

Interact proactively each day with existing and potential clients, insurance companies, and medical providers, by phone and in person.
Order medical records from providers and communicate with them during clients’ treatment.
Obtain documents needed to support injury and liability positions.
Work with insurance carriers and healthcare providers to obtain records and account balances.
Negotiate case settlements with insurance carriers.
Negotiate reductions of outstanding medical balances with providers.
Work with coworkers involved in managing and supporting case files.
Maintain organized case files.
Prepare comprehensive demands and assemble supporting materials for submission to carriers.
Interact with attorneys and present case summaries when required.
Perform other related duties as assigned to meet business needs.
