About The Position

Catapult Learning is seeking a full-time High School Literacy Intervention Specialist to provide targeted, high-impact literacy support to high school students. This role involves working in a Catholic High School in Denver, CO, acting as an advocate, coach, and champion for students' literacy growth. The specialist will deliver small group pull-out sessions and in-class support, collaborating closely with classroom teachers to ensure aligned instruction and monitor student progress. The position offers opportunities for professional development and utilizes Catapult Learning's proprietary curriculum.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required
Experience teaching or providing reading intervention at the high school level required
Strong understanding of literacy instruction, diagnostic assessment, and differentiated instruction
Ability to build collaborative relationships with teachers, school leaders, and families
Comfort using data and online platforms for progress monitoring and communication
Unwavering belief that all students can learn and grow

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree and teaching license/certification highly preferred
Bilingual in Spanish highly desired

Responsibilities

Provide direct, small group pull-out and in-class reading intervention using Catapult Learning's proprietary curriculum and a diagnostic-prescriptive approach.
Partner with classroom teachers through shared planning time, data meetings, and ongoing communication to keep intervention strategies aligned with classroom learning goals and jointly monitor student progress.
Progress monitor students throughout the school year, using data to evaluate the effectiveness of instruction and make timely instructional adjustments.
Conduct parent/guardian outreach, prepare student progress reports, and lead parent conferences to keep families informed and involved in student growth.
Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and professional development provided by Catapult Learning.
