About The Position

Teasdale Latin Foods is hiring a High Reach Forklift Operator for the second shift in Louisville, Kentucky, at $19.90 per hour. The operator safely handles palletized inventory using a stand-up forklift or reach truck, including organizing and moving goods in double-deep warehouse racking up to 40 feet high. The role also supports production by supplying or removing raw materials and finished goods, handles shipping and order-picking tasks, tracks inventory with RF scanners, and maintains safe, clean, and hygienic work areas. The position requires wearing a hairnet, beard net, safety vest, and hygienic clothing to support food-production standards. Employees receive annual GMP, safety, and quality policy training, an annual review of work instructions, and additional training as needed.

Requirements

Previous experience operating a reach truck or high-lift forklift.
Ability to perform all duties assigned in the work instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively with peers and leadership via hand-held radio.
Ability to reach and complete appropriate warehouse logs and documents.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for more than 8 hours.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a stand-up forklift or reach truck to stow and retrieve palletized inventory.
Report and escalate safety hazards and demonstrate commitment to a safe work environment.
Rotate and organize goods in double-deep warehouse racking up to 40 feet high using reach equipment.
Work with team leaders to provide timely production support by supplying or removing raw materials and finished goods.
Load and unload pallets from trailers safely and efficiently.
Stack empty pallets and organize materials by lot and expiration date.
Use RF scanners accurately to track inventory movements.
Keep work areas clear of refuse through sweeping, trash collection, and other housekeeping activities.
Participate in physical inventory counts by reporting pallet quantities and locations using an RF scanner.
Inspect equipment for safety and plug in or unplug forklifts at charging stations.
Pick and pack orders, build pallets, label cases, and follow product codes accurately.
Maintain high housekeeping standards in all work areas and inspect products for quality compliance.
Wear a hairnet, beard net, safety vest, and hygienic clothing to maintain food-production standards.
Complete annual GMP, safety, and quality policy training, annual work-instruction reviews, and additional training as necessary.
