About The Position

The High Reach Forklift Operator works in a freezer warehouse on the second shift, Monday through Friday, from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. The role uses a stand-up reach forklift to move products, equipment, and materials while following regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures. The position involves working in cold storage and using company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear. Requirements

High-reach forklift experience is required.
Basic math skills.
Ability to understand instructions in the country's official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics.
Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20°F/-25°C in cold storage sites or up to 100°F/37°C in dry storage sites while wearing company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds/18 kilograms; required weight may be higher depending on the facility.
Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
Comfort working around varying noise levels, which can sometimes be loud.

Responsibilities

Put away palletized units by lifting forks to place them in racks above floor height.
Pick palletized units from rack locations above floor height and prepare them for outbound shipment.
Select and record food-item materials, weights, counts, and condition using a Radio Frequency (RF) system.
Load and unload materials on and off pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
Complete the daily forklift maintenance/check sheet.
Monitor battery charge, maintain and clean batteries, and leave material-handling equipment at the proper charging station.
Work with other machinery and material-handling equipment.
Follow regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
