About The Position

The Hi-Lo Driver operates a forklift and transports merchandise and materials throughout the club. The role includes loading and unloading delivery trucks, inspecting and receiving incoming merchandise, preparing pallets, stocking and storing merchandise, performing general maintenance and safety procedures, following club policies, and providing positive service to Members. The position also participates in daily club openings and closings and may work in other departments as needed.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Successfully complete required training and certification processes.

Nice To Haves

• Prior forklift operating experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently; inspect it before use and follow established safety standards.
• Load and unload merchandise and materials from delivery trucks, and inspect and prepare trucks for unloading.
• Accurately receive merchandise and materials delivered to the club.
• Lift, reserve, and drop merchandise pallets between overhead steel and the sales floor.
• Prepare pallets for safe storage by wrapping, strapping, stacking, labeling, and correcting broken pallets.
• Transport merchandise, materials, and pallets throughout the club; use a pallet jack as needed.
• Stock, rotate, and store general merchandise and food merchandise, and ensure merchandise is fully stocked.
• Handle damaged and spoiled merchandise according to company policies and procedures.
• Keep the club neat, clean, and organized, including removing trash and cardboard.
• Participate in daily club openings and closings.
• Return merchandise to the sales floor.
• Greet Members, provide prompt and courteous service, and help Members locate merchandise.
• Maintain club policies and procedures.
• Perform other assigned duties and work in other departments as needed.
