Hematology & Oncology Physician
About The Position
We are seeking a Hematology & Oncology Physician for a Locum Tenens position in Marshfield, WI. This role involves providing clinical coverage in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with a focus on Hematology/Oncology cases including Acute Leukemia, Chemotherapy, Stem Cell Transplant, and CAR-T therapy. The physician will be responsible for managing a daily patient volume of approximately 15 patients, performing bone marrow biopsies, and supervising chemotherapy patients. The position also includes inpatient hospital call on a 1:4 weekly rotation, which involves rounding and handling phone consults. The physician will document post Autologous Stem Cell Transplant and post CAR-T cell Therapy patients. The facility utilizes the Cerner EMR system and has support staff including PA/NPs, RNs, MAs, Office Staff, Navigators, and Fusion RNs. Radiation Oncology backup is available.
Requirements
- BC/BE
- WI or IMLC license
- BLS, ACLS, ATLS certifications
- Required Fellowship
Responsibilities
- Provide full-time Hematology/Oncology locum coverage (no med onc).
- Perform bone marrow biopsies.
- Manage inpatient hospital call on a 1:4 weekly rotation, including rounding and phone consults.
- Supervise chemotherapy patients and handle add-on consults during clinic weekday call.
- Document post Autologous Stem Cell Transplant and post CAR-T cell Therapy patients.
