About The Position
We are seeking a Hematology & Oncology Physician for a Locum Tenens position in Coos Bay, OR. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient care, with a focus on clinical duties and call coverage. The physician will manage a patient load of 10-15 outpatients daily, round on inpatients receiving chemotherapy, and collaborate with a team of radiation oncologists and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). The position requires proficiency in the EPIC EMR system for all clinical documentation and order entry. This is an ongoing coverage need, starting as soon as possible.
Requirements
- Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology
- Active DEA certification
- Self-Query NPDB within the month
Nice To Haves
- Active OR license
- Clean background/no malpractice
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient hematology/oncology care, seeing 10-15 patients per day
- Participate in 1:4 call rotation, covering 7 days of call including one weekend per month
- Round on inpatients admitted for chemotherapy
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists and APPs
- Utilize EPIC EMR for clinical documentation and order entry
