About The Position
This is an ongoing coverage need for a Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA). The role involves both outpatient and call coverage for adult patients. The position is a long-term permanent search, with an anticipated start date of September 28. The NP/PA will see an average of 12 patients per day and will be the first point of contact for symptom support during weekdays. The EMR system used is MediTech, and credentialing is expected to take 120 days.
Requirements
- Active Montana licensure
- Board certification
- AHA BLS certification
- Minimum 1-year Hematology/Oncology experience or equivalent
- Active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in Montana
- National certification as an NP in a relevant specialty area by a recognized certifying body (e.g., American Academy of Nurse Practitioners [AANP])
- Active and unencumbered physician assistant (PA) license in Montana
- National certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- At least one year of experience in a clinical setting relevant to their specialty

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions
- Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices
- Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and APP specialty
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly
