About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens position for a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant specializing in Hematology & Oncology in Kalispell, MT. The role involves providing comprehensive medical oncology care to on-treatment patients, including symptom management and treatment administration. Additionally, the NP/PA will conduct follow-up visits for surveillance and survivorship patients, monitoring for recurrence and late effects. The position requires taking first call for symptom support and treatment management during clinic hours, with the ability to escalate to an MD as needed. Collaboration with a physician as part of a care team is essential for developing and implementing treatment plans. Responsibilities include performing patient assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and documenting in the MediTech EMR.
Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible (BC/BE)
- Active MT license or IMLC
- EMR proficiency with MediTech
- Ability to work in a team-based care setting
- Hospital Privileges Required (Temporary Privileges Available)
