About The Position

Environmental Air Systems (EAS), a full-service mechanical contractor, is seeking Helpers for its manufacturing shop in High Point, North Carolina. The role is on first shift and may involve a variety of skills depending on the department. Helpers may assist with cleaning, operating machinery, welding, plumbing and pipefitting, ductwork, carpentry, or electrical work. EAS offers opportunities to learn skilled trades and develop career paths. The schedule is 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with overtime as necessary. The position is located in High Point, NC 27263.

Requirements

Proficiency in reading and speaking either English or Spanish.
Minimum of a high school education or equivalent.
Ability to read a tape measure.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and climb ladders throughout the shift.
Ability to stand and work for prolonged periods.
Ability to work in varying heat and cold and in noise levels at or above 90 decibels.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment.
Ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

Assist trades employees in the assigned department as directed, including welders, pipefitters, and electricians.
Handle materials.
Use power tools such as circular saws, drills, and reciprocating saws.
Work safely and adhere to safety rules and policies.
Work in a fast-paced team environment.
