About The Position

Pape’ Machinery, Inc.’s Construction & Forestry Division is seeking a Shop Technician in Tangent, Oregon. The technician works in the shop on construction and forestry equipment, ensuring repairs are completed accurately and promptly to support customers and maximize equipment uptime. The role involves working alongside trained technicians in a well-resourced shop. Pape’ offers training, mentoring, ongoing support, and opportunities to grow within the organization. Compensation is $29.98–$44.97 per hour, depending on experience. Candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience diagnosing and repairing all makes and models of new and used heavy equipment.
Team-oriented personality and the focus and drive to work without direct supervision.
Discipline and skill to complete a technical diagnostic and repair training program.
Must provide own tools.
Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair construction and forestry equipment in the shop.
Ensure equipment repairs are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Support customers and help maximize equipment uptime.
