About The Position

ASCO is hiring a full-time, on-site Heavy Equipment Service Technician at its Sherman branch in Sherman, Texas. The technician will help keep customers’ heavy equipment operating at peak performance by diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining machinery in the shop or in the field. The role requires efficient, professional service and a customer-first approach, with collaboration across departments to meet customer needs. Requirements

• Two to three years of heavy equipment repair experience, or a technical certification or associate’s degree.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues independently and work within time constraints.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Ability to obtain a forklift license.
• Own tool set for heavy equipment repair.
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to handle loads up to 55 pounds and maneuver around or crawl under equipment to conduct repairs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, HVAC, and electrical systems in the shop or in the field.
• Perform planned maintenance to keep equipment running smoothly.
• Work with the Service Manager and other departments to meet customer needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace in the shop or on the road.
• Use computers and communication tools to document repairs and coordinate with the team.
