We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to support our San Miguel Mine team south of Jourdanton, Texas by assuring mining equipment operates efficiently following all safety standards. Requirements

• Three or more years related to Heavy Equipment Operation.
• Ability to set priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as manuals and labels.
• Ability to fill out paperwork associated with the operation of Heavy Equipment.
• Ability to work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Ability to be flexible, work as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
• Proficient in English, both verbally and written.
• Have a valid Driver’s License.
• Undergo and successfully pass the following testing: Breath Alcohol Test, Urine Drug Test, Fitness-to-Work Assessment, Audiometric Testing, Vision Screening, Criminal Record Check.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment (Haul Trucks, Dozers, Blades) on mine roads and in pit areas.
• Observe all operation policies and procedures.
• Report any potentially unsafe conditions.
• Participate in safety procedures and Job Hazard Analysis of the working area.
• Perform Walk around inspection.
