About The Position

NED, LLC. (National Equipment Dealers) is a heavy equipment dealership that sells, rents, and supports equipment. The Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician services off-road heavy construction equipment, including excavators, material handlers, wheel loaders, and other off-highway trucks and equipment. The company represents brands including Hyundai Construction Equipment, Bell Off-Road Trucks, Manitou, Sakai, and Dynapac. The schedule is full time, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pay is $25 to $40 per hour, with additional incentives and a technician salary path. Employment offers are conditioned on successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record check, and background check.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in heavy equipment.
• Proficiency in diagnostics and manufacturer diagnostic software.
• Proficiency in hydraulics and hydraulic repair.
• Proficiency in electrical systems.
• Proficiency in pneumatic systems.
• Proficiency in diesel engines.

Nice To Haves

• Cummins certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose equipment, test systems, perform start-ups, inspect low- to high-voltage electrical systems, and perform moderately complex relay calibration and power metering.
• Diagnose fault codes and perform necessary repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
• Keep detailed records of work performed for asset management and the work order system.
• Record and track time worked.
• Take photos and videos of the repair process to accompany detailed work logs.
• Assist the service manager with additional duties as needed.
