About The Position

Faris Machinery is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our Commerce City team. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining a wide range of construction equipment at customer locations throughout the Front Range and surrounding service areas. If you have experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy equipment diagnostics, we want to hear from you. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5-10 years of heavy equipment technician or mechanic experience
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and powertrain components
  • Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical documents
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to obtain a Class B CDL

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training in diesel technology, heavy equipment repair, or a related field
  • Welding experience
  • Experience working in a heavy equipment dealership environment
  • Current CDL (Class B or higher)
  • OEM certifications or manufacturer training

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain construction and heavy equipment in a dealership shop environment.
  • Troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, drivetrains, and machine components.
  • Perform equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, and scheduled service repairs.
  • Rebuild and replace engines, pumps, motors, cylinders, and other major components.
  • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment to manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform welding, fabrication, and equipment modifications as needed.
  • Accurately document inspections, labor, parts usage, and repair work performed.
  • Work closely with the Service Manager and Parts Department to ensure timely and accurate repairs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Participate in OEM training and professional development opportunities.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to less experienced technicians when needed.
