About The Position

Snider Fleet Solutions is hiring Truck and Trailer Mechanics to perform maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers. The work focuses on preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, brake and wheel-end services, and completing the related documentation. This role does not involve heavy engine or transmission repair. Requirements

At least 1 year of diesel mechanic experience.
Valid Class C driver's license.
Federal Annual and Brake Inspector certification required within 6 months of hire.
Ability to read technical manuals and instructions.
Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-service orientation.
Ability to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment.
Must pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine maintenance tasks and document the work.
Perform preventive maintenance inspections and services.
Perform brake jobs and replace brake chambers and slack adjusters.
Replace wheel seals and adjust wheel ends.
Inspect trailer systems and components for damage, excessive wear, loose bolts, broken welds, structural deficiencies, air or oil leaks, stuck, frozen, or rusted parts, and safety-device issues.
Complete DOT forms and other documentation accurately and promptly.
Complete work orders accurately and ensure all parts are included.
Follow safety protocols and company policies.
