About The Position

Snider Fleet Solutions is seeking skilled Truck and Trailer Mechanics for multiple locations. The role performs maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers, including preventive maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and related documentation. Requirements

• At least 1 year of diesel mechanic experience.
• Valid Class C driver’s license.
• Federal Annual and Brake Inspector certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to read technical manuals and instructions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-service-oriented approach.
• Ability to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance tasks and document the work.
• Repair and maintain heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections, brake jobs, brake chamber and slack adjuster replacements, wheel seal replacements, and wheel-end adjustments.
• Inspect trailer systems and components for damage, excessive wear, loose bolts, broken welds, structural deficiencies, air or oil leaks, stuck, frozen, or rusted parts, and issues with safety devices.
• Complete DOT forms and other documentation accurately and on time.
• Complete work-order forms accurately and ensure all parts are included.
• Follow safety protocols and company policies.
