About The Position
Snider Fleet Solutions is seeking skilled Truck and Trailer Mechanics to perform maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers. The work focuses on preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, brake and wheel-end work, and completing related documentation. This role does not involve heavy engine or transmission repair. The company offers competitive pay and commission, training, and opportunities for professional development and advancement. Diesel and heavy-duty mechanics are eligible for a $3,500 retention bonus.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of diesel mechanic experience.
- Valid Class C driver's license.
- Federal Annual and Brake Inspector certification required within 6 months of hire.
- Ability to read technical manuals and instructions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-service-oriented approach.
- Ability to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks and document the work.
- Repair and maintain heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections, brake jobs, brake chamber and slack adjuster replacements, wheel seal replacements, and wheel-end adjustments.
- Inspect trailer systems for damage, excessive wear, loose bolts, broken welds, structural deficiencies, air or oil leaks, stuck, frozen, or rusted parts, and issues with safety devices.
- Complete DOT forms and other documentation accurately and promptly.
- Complete work order forms accurately and ensure all parts are included.
- Follow safety protocols and company policies.
