About The Position

Snider Fleet Solutions is hiring mobile truck or trailer mechanics to perform maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers. The work focuses on preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, brake and wheel-end service, and related documentation. This role does not involve heavy engine or transmission repair. Requirements

At least 3–5 years of diesel mechanic experience.
Valid Class C driver's license.
Federal Annual and Brake Inspector certification required within six months of hire.
Ability to read technical manuals and instructions.
Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-service-oriented approach.
Ability to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment.
Must pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine maintenance and document completed work.
Repair and maintain heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
Perform preventive maintenance inspections, brake jobs, brake chamber and slack adjuster replacement, wheel seal replacement, and wheel-end adjustments.
Inspect trailer systems and components for damage, excessive wear, loose bolts, broken welds, structural deficiencies, air or oil leaks, stuck, frozen, or rusted parts, and safety-device issues.
Complete DOT forms and other documentation accurately and promptly.
Complete work orders accurately and ensure all parts are included.
Follow safety protocols and company policies.
