About The Position

Snider Fleet Solutions is seeking skilled Truck and Trailer Mechanics to perform maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers at multiple locations. Work includes preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, repairs, and completion of associated paperwork. The role does not involve heavy engine or transmission repair. The company offers competitive pay and commission, professional growth opportunities, and employee training. Diesel and heavy-duty mechanics are eligible for a $3,500 retention bonus.

Requirements

At least 1 year of diesel mechanic experience.
Valid Class C driver's license.
Federal Annual and Brake Inspector certification required within 6 months of hire.
Ability to read technical manuals and instructions.
Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-service-oriented approach.
Ability to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment.
Must pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine maintenance tasks and document the work.
Repair and maintain heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
Perform preventive maintenance inspections, brake jobs, brake chamber and slack adjuster replacements, wheel seal replacements, and wheel-end adjustments.
Inspect trailer system parts for damage, excessive wear, loose bolts, broken welds, structural deficiencies, air or oil leaks, stuck, frozen, or rusted parts, and safety-device issues.
Complete DOT forms and other documentation accurately and promptly.
Complete work orders accurately and ensure all parts are included.
Follow safety protocols and company policies.
