Healthy Families Supervisor
About The Position
Eliot is seeking a Healthy Families Supervisor for its Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (MSPCC) division. The role supports the Healthy Families program, a pregnancy and parenting education initiative that helps first-time parents create a stable, nurturing environment for their child. The Supervisor supports staff through reflective supervision and by modeling and teaching strength-based, trauma-informed care. The position calls for understanding of child development, culturally responsive care, and a commitment to empowering diverse families.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with family-centered and strength-based services in a home visiting model.
- Experience supervising diverse staff and providing support in a demanding work environment.
- Driver’s license and vehicle.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual in Spanish.
- Bachelor of Arts degree.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical, administrative, and reflective supervision to assigned Home Visitors.
- Conduct quality assurance activities, including co-visits, home visit observations, and phone calls with families.
- Ensure families connect with community services that support children’s growth and development, parents’ health and wellness, and improved family functioning.
- Build effective relationships with staff and families using motivational interviewing, modeling difficult conversations, and providing supportive, concrete services.
- Plan and co-facilitate parent support and parent-child interaction groups as needed.
