About The Position
Lewis Brisbois is seeking attorneys to join its Healthcare & Medical Malpractice Practice in its Los Angeles, California office. The firm represents healthcare providers in state and federal courts and administrative proceedings, and handles medical malpractice actions across numerous specialties. Its healthcare practice includes more than 200 attorneys. The ideal candidate has experience representing healthcare providers and is comfortable drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings, drafting and arguing motions, and taking and defending depositions. The firm is also interested in developing talented attorneys with substantive litigation experience, excellent skills in a litigation arena, and a demonstrated interest in healthcare law. Successful candidates will have strong writing and analytical skills, be able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and be able to work independently and as part of a team. Requirements
- Admission to practice law in California.
- At least 1 year of experience; the posting describes a desired range of 1 to 15 years representing healthcare providers in state and federal courts and administrative proceedings.
- Strong writing and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Substantive litigation experience and a demonstrated interest in healthcare law for candidates developing in healthcare law.
Nice To Haves
- Experience defending and litigating medical malpractice lawsuits is preferred.
- Experience in healthcare law is preferred.
