About The Position

Lewis Brisbois is seeking an attorney to join its Healthcare & Medical Malpractice Practice in its Phoenix, Arizona office. The firm represents healthcare providers in state and federal courts and administrative proceedings, and handles medical malpractice matters across a wide range of specialties. Its healthcare practice includes more than 200 attorneys.

The successful candidate will work on litigation matters, including drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings, drafting and arguing motions, and taking and defending depositions. Candidates should have strong writing and analytical skills and be able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. The firm is also open to developing talented attorneys with substantive litigation experience and a demonstrated interest in healthcare law, even if they do not have healthcare-law experience.

Requirements

• Admission to practice in Arizona.
• At least 2 years of experience representing healthcare providers in state and federal courts and administrative proceedings; the posting describes an ideal range of 2 to 7 years.
• Strong writing and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Substantive litigation experience and a demonstrated interest in healthcare law are acceptable pathways for developing attorneys.

Nice To Haves

• Experience defending and litigating medical malpractice lawsuits is preferred.
• Experience in healthcare law.
