About The Position

Lewis Brisbois is seeking attorneys to join its Healthcare & Medical Malpractice Practice in its Walnut Creek, California office. The firm represents a broad range of healthcare providers in state and federal courts and administrative proceedings and handles medical malpractice actions across numerous medical specialties. Its healthcare practice includes more than 200 attorneys. The role involves litigation work, including drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings, drafting and arguing motions, and taking and defending depositions. Candidates should be comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and working independently as well as collaboratively. The firm is open to attorneys with substantive litigation experience and an interest in healthcare law, including developing attorneys whose experience is in another litigation arena.

Requirements

Admission to practice law in California.
One to fifteen years of experience representing healthcare providers in state and federal courts and administrative proceedings.
Strong writing and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Substantive litigation experience and a demonstrated interest in healthcare law.

Nice To Haves

Experience defending and litigating medical malpractice lawsuits is preferred.
Experience in healthcare law is preferred.
