About The Position

CapTech is seeking a Healthcare Account Executive to manage and grow a portfolio of healthcare accounts. This role involves both sales and delivery responsibilities, focusing on building trust and delivering value to clients in the payer, provider, health services, and pharma services sectors. The position offers significant growth potential within CapTech's expanding healthcare practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for client relationships, commercial health of accounts, overseeing engagements, managing contracts, and coaching account teams. Business development includes developing growth strategies, originating pipeline, building relationships, leading proposals, and partnering with marketing teams. The role also requires contributing to the healthcare go-to-market strategy and collaborating with other CapTech leaders.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare consulting, healthcare technology, or a related professional services environment.
  • Demonstrated track record of managing and growing client accounts in healthcare - you have held P&L accountability and delivered measurable revenue growth.
  • Experience leading business development in healthcare - originating, shaping, and closing consulting or technology engagements.
  • Executive-level relationship skills. You are comfortable in the room with a CIO, a COO, or a VP of Operations, and they are comfortable with you.
  • Commercial instincts - pricing, deal structure, contract terms, margin management. You understand the business side of consulting, not just the client side.
  • Experience managing or coaching consulting teams. You make the people around you better.
  • Ability to travel as needed to client sites and CapTech offices. This role requires in-person client engagement.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work directly for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the healthcare payer ecosystem: Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, commercial, self-funded employer markets.
  • Experience in healthcare provider or health services organizations - hospital systems, physician practice management companies (anesthesia groups, dental/surgical platforms), ambulatory surgical center operators, academic medical centers, or management services organizations (MSOs/DSOs).
  • Experience with health tech companies that serve providers or payers - clinical platforms, revenue cycle, workforce management, or care delivery technology.
  • Familiarity with healthcare technology themes: data modernization, interoperability, AI-enabled operations, digital member/patient experience, platform modernization, Salesforce in healthcare.
  • Track record of growing accounts from early-stage engagement to $3M+ annual revenue.
  • Experience navigating complex procurement processes in large healthcare organizations.
  • Existing network across payer, provider, pharma services, or health tech organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Own the client relationship(s) and commercial health of a portfolio of healthcare accounts, including revenue, margin, forecasting, and resource alignment.
  • Serve as the executive point of contact for clients. Hold regular cadence with client leadership at the COO, CIO, and VP level.
  • Oversee active engagements to ensure delivery quality, stakeholder satisfaction, and contract performance.
  • Manage the commercial side of accounts: SOWs, amendments, pricing, rate negotiations, and contract execution. Navigate procurement cycles and MSA processes in healthcare organizations.
  • Coach and develop the account team - project managers, account managers, and consultants working across your accounts.
  • Identify risk early and act on it. Staffing gaps, delivery issues, relationship friction, contract timing - you are the person who sees these coming and resolves them before the client has to raise them.
  • Develop and execute account growth strategies for each account in the portfolio. Expand CapTech's footprint by introducing new services and connecting client challenges to CapTech capabilities.
  • Originate new pipeline within existing accounts through relationship depth, active listening, and a genuine understanding of what each client is trying to accomplish.
  • Build and maintain relationships across buying centers within each client organization.
  • Pursue new healthcare accounts where CapTech has a right to win. Leverage your network, industry presence, and CapTech's delivery track record to open doors.
  • Lead proposals and SOWs. Structure deals that work for the client and for CapTech - right scope, right team, right commercial terms.
  • Partner with CapTech's marketing and growth teams on healthcare campaigns, events, and conference strategy. Represent CapTech in the healthcare market with credibility and presence.
  • Stay current on healthcare industry dynamics - regulatory shifts, technology trends, payer and provider market pressures - and translate that knowledge into relevant conversations with clients.
  • Contribute to CapTech's healthcare go-to-market strategy. Help shape which services we lead with, how we position in the market, and where we invest.
  • Collaborate with other account leaders and practice areas across CapTech to bring the right capabilities to your clients.
