About The Position

LK Jordan is seeking a detail-oriented Healthcare Claims & Subrogation Specialist for a respected healthcare organization in Houston. This is a part-time, project-based opportunity offering approximately 25 hours per week, with the potential to transition into a longer-term temporary assignment based on business needs. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong administrative, insurance, healthcare, or claims experience who enjoy research, problem-solving, and working in a professional office environment.

Requirements

1-3 years of professional office experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel (SharePoint experience is a plus).
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Healthcare, insurance, or claims administration experience.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Previous subrogation experience is highly desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

Review and research healthcare subrogation requests.
Investigate claims to identify potential third-party liability.
Communicate with insurance companies, attorneys, members, and other third parties regarding subrogation matters.
Prepare written correspondence, including acknowledgments and closure letters.
Complete accurate data entry and maintain documentation across multiple systems.
Coordinate with internal departments to research and resolve inquiries.
Assist with claims-related investigations and support departmental objectives.
Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information.
