About The Position

This position is located at the Guthrie Army Health Clinic at Fort Drum, New York. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
• This position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment.
• Immunization screening is required.
• Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact.
• Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
• This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
• The duties of this position may the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.

• One year of specialized experience which includes developing policies to improve performance of services within a medical facility, providing budget oversight for expenditures within a medical facility, and utilizing automated healthcare delivery or office automation systems to enter and retrieve data for reports.
• Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
• You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
• This position requires a 1 year probationary period during which the agency evaluates your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest.

• Direct Deposit of Pay is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior health system specialist while ensuring compliance with accreditation as well as applicable Joint Commission, state, and federal standards.
• Coordinate conferences and seminars for appropriate staff while addressing applicable standards for the United States Army (USA) and Medical Department Activity (MEDDAC).
• Assist with the development of policies and procedures to meet required standards.
• Develop and oversee the Tracer Methodology Program while disseminating information and implementing educational classes.
• Act as a resource and subject matter expert for medical staff, administration and USA MEDDAC staff regarding standards, accreditation process, etc.
• Evaluate developed policies and procedures to ensure they are compliance with Joint Commission standards.
• Serve as the USA MEDDAC alternate risk management coordinator and assume the duties due to absent or need of assistance.
