Requirements

  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification
  • 2+ years of construction safety experience with hands-on hazard recognition and compliance enforcement
  • Working knowledge of OSHA 1910 and 1926 regulations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, hazard identification, and corrective action processes
  • Clear, effective communication — comfortable delivering safety training, engaging field crews, and working across departments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams) with accurate record-keeping under active job site conditions
  • Comfort working outdoors in all weather, navigating active job sites, lifting up to 50 lbs., and traveling 25–40% to project sites across the U.S.
  • High school diploma

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Professional safety certifications such as ASP or CHST
  • Experience in event production, temporary structures, or other project-based outdoor operations

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the HSEQ team, Project Managers, Operations, and Field Teams to build safety into project planning and ensure site-specific safety plans are in place before mobilization
  • Support incident, SIF, and PSIF investigations — complete documentation, determine root causes, recommend corrective actions, and share lessons learned across the organization
  • Deliver safety orientations and toolbox talks to field personnel, subcontractors, and new hires; identify training needs and help develop safety education programs
  • Ensure proper selection, use, and maintenance of PPE across all sites — enforce compliance and address violations promptly
  • Maintain safety documentation including daily field reports, inspection logs, training records, and OSHA compliance files
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to confirm they meet Arena’s safety submittal requirements and site-specific safety plans
