About The Position

The Head of Quality North America is a VP-level leader accountable for product quality, safety, compliance, reliability, consumer experience, and financial results across the full product lifecycle, from concept, design, sourcing, and validation through manufacturing, distribution, service, warranty, and field learning. The role moves Quality from reactive containment toward preventive and predictive management by establishing an end-to-end system that improves reliability, reduces warranty and quality losses, strengthens brand trust, and makes quality a measurable competitive advantage. Based at Electrolux’s Charlotte, North Carolina headquarters, the role follows a hybrid policy. The leader sets regional quality strategy, targets, governance, organization, and investment priorities; integrates quality practices across design, suppliers, manufacturing, product lines, field operations, and service; and develops predictive quality capabilities through connected data, analytics, and AI-enabled early warning. The role also leads incident and recall response, drives continuous improvement in business and brand outcomes, and builds a prevention-focused quality culture.

Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience across product quality, reliability, engineering, manufacturing, supplier quality, or service.
  • Significant executive responsibility for multi-site, multi-product-line quality performance.
  • Demonstrated success leading an end-to-end quality transformation and delivering sustained improvements in product reliability, warranty cost, consumer experience, supplier performance, and operational quality.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, translating quality performance into consumer, brand, margin, cash, and risk outcomes.
  • Deep expertise in quality systems, reliability, APQP/PPAP, DFMEA/PFMEA, validation, supplier and manufacturing quality, safety, compliance, field quality, and root-cause problem solving.
  • Proven success leading complex, cross-functional transformation through clear governance, decision rights, metrics, and accountability.
  • Strong command of digital quality systems, advanced analytics, and AI-enabled early-warning methods.
  • Executive communication and influence with senior leaders, boards, regulators, retailers, suppliers, and employees.
  • Sound judgment and authority to stop a launch, shipment, process, or sourcing decision when safety, compliance, or reliability evidence is insufficient.
  • Enterprise-minded and consumer-focused, with full accountability for quality and business outcomes.
  • Decisive and fact-based, surfacing risks early and acting when standards are not met.
  • Collaborative and influential across functions, product lines, suppliers, and senior leadership.
  • Results-oriented change leader who builds talent, accountability, and a prevention-focused culture.
