About The Position

Dune is hiring a Head of Product to help transition the company into building products that financial institutions depend on to commit capital, assess risk, and enter new onchain markets. Building on Dune’s existing blockchain data foundation, the role will determine which customers and use cases to serve, which problems matter most, and which needs can become scalable institutional products. The Head of Product will identify valuable customer problems and guide the company in delivering reliable products that create value and grow usage. The role defines product strategy for market data and institutional customers and owns the product experience from data creation through delivery. It involves translating financial institutions’ research, investment, trading, and operational needs into product priorities; working with engineering and data teams on datasets, feeds, and integrations; and partnering with Product Marketing, Sales, and other teams on customer evaluations, pricing, and adoption. The Head of Product will measure product success, improve operational practices, use AI to improve research and feedback loops, and lead and develop a product team. This role is part of the leadership team and reports to the president.

Requirements

  • Ability to set a clear direction, make difficult choices, and work through the details required to deliver products.
  • Ability to take responsibility from understanding a customer problem through delivering a product that solves it and creates customer value.
  • Comfort working with engineering, data, and commercial teams, and balancing institutional data requirements with immediate delivery priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to make decisions with incomplete information and revise them when evidence changes.
  • Willingness to stay close to the work, investigate problems, challenge assumptions, and help teams resolve difficult details.
