Head of Product Marketing

About The Position

Jazz is seeking a Head of Product Marketing to own the company's narrative from end-to-end. This role involves sharpening how Jazz is understood by buyers, analysts, and the field, and building the product marketing function from scratch. It is a player-coach position where the individual will set the strategy and execute it themselves. The company offers a differentiated story and is expanding into a platform play, providing an opportunity for impactful product marketing work.

Requirements

  • 6+ years in product marketing.
  • At least 3 years in B2B security, preferably at a startup or growth-stage company with significant ownership.
  • Proven end-to-end ownership of messaging and positioning for a technical product.
  • Direct experience working with sales, including building battlecards, creating enablement materials, and participating in deal strategy.
  • Analyst relations experience with Gartner, Forrester, or IDC.
  • Exceptional writing skills, capable of producing high-quality positioning documents, one-pagers, website copy, and technical content quickly.
  • Intellectual curiosity about how security actually works.
  • Strong editorial judgment, maintaining honest and defensible messaging.
  • Self-directed, able to identify and execute tasks without constant supervision.
  • Comfortable operating with incomplete information and adapting in an early-stage environment.

Responsibilities

  • Messaging and positioning: Own the Jazz narrative end-to-end, sharpening it, protecting it, and ensuring it holds up under competitive pressure and analyst scrutiny.
  • Sales enablement: Provide Account Executives (AEs) and Sales Engineers (SEs) with necessary materials to articulate the Jazz difference and win deals, including battlecards, talk tracks, demo narratives, and objection handling guides.
  • Competitive intelligence: Conduct ongoing win/loss analysis, manage analyst relationships (Gartner, Forrester, IDC), and maintain Jazz's market positioning.
  • Customer marketing: Collaborate with Customer Success (CS) to develop case studies, adoption content, and programs that foster customer advocacy.
  • Build the function: Design the systems, processes, and content strategy for the product marketing function from the ground up, as there is no inherited infrastructure.
