About The Position

Knit is the AI-native consumer research platform helping brands automate and accelerate primary research. With our Researcher-Driven AI, we’ve condensed the entire quant + qual research process from weeks into days (sometimes hours!) for 50+ enterprise brands — including Amazon, T-Mobile, Mars, NASCAR, and more. We’re on a mission to scale and democratize world-class research. From survey generation to stakeholder-ready reports, our platform is redefining how insights teams operate — and we need your help to push the limits of what’s possible. We’re looking for an Ops Leader to serve as the strategic backbone of Knit - someone who will instill the operational excellence required to scale our people, systems, and governance with efficiency. We’re looking for an intense, high-velocity operator who moves seamlessly between strategy and execution, translating big-picture priorities into durable processes.

Requirements

  • Turning chaos into order through clarity and processes gives you energy.

  • Sound Judgment, Pragmatism & Discretion: Knows what matters, why, and when to act with a bias towards action - with the experience to size and calibrate solutions accurately to the needs and stage of the business. Make objective calls that are best for the business, and handle sensitive information with care.
  • 12+ years in high-pressure, fast-paced environments with at least 5 years as a final decision-maker in in-house People Ops.
  • Proven builder of scalable people ops programs from 0 to 200 headcount.
  • Led cross-functional teams through SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR certifications.
  • Ownership & Accountability: Confident, clear, and direct with all comms - from ICs to Co-Founders to Exec team and board members. Tailors communication to the room, delivers hard messages to any audience, and drives / manages up with transparency and accountability.
  • Proven track record reporting directly to and managing up to CEOs and Co-Founders at Seed to Series B startups.
  • Strong business acumen with examples of owning and connecting ops decisions and process to growth outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Drive our day-to-day core business functions, specifically leading People, HR, and GRC.
  • Ensure the organization is structured, well-supported, compliant, and aligned, so our people can build and sell at the highest level.
  • Lead People Operations Strategy, Employee Satisfaction, Retention & Engagement, Onboarding, Performance Management, Development and Offboarding.
  • Oversee Global Payroll and Benefits Administration.
  • Manage US Federal & State Compliance and Global HR systems.
  • Handle Employee Relations & Risk Management.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of Talent Acquisition from Headcount Planning through recruiting through 30, 60, 90-Day Onboarding.
  • Oversee System, Tooling, and IT Management Strategy (Hardware and Software Procurement).
  • Manage Internal Communications & Change Management.
  • Manage Vendor Partnerships.
  • Oversee Facilities & Office Management (In-person NYC Office).
  • Manage Compliance & Risk Posture.
  • Oversee Revenue-Accelerating Security Operations.
  • Ensure Privacy & Data Protection Excellence.
  • Manage Information Security Processes.
  • Partner closely with Finance & Accounting to ensure seamless internal business operations, specifically involving Headcount Planning and vendor partnerships.
