About The Position

JAQ Group is a fast-growing UK fragrance brand that is building its US operation from scratch. They are establishing their first US distribution centre in Indianapolis and are looking for a Head of Operations to own and build this new operation. This role involves shaping the operational strategy, hiring and leading a team, overseeing despatch, logistics, inventory, and health & safety. The company is founder-led, product-obsessed, and experiencing rapid growth with proven demand in the US market. By October 2026, they aim to be operational with a significant facility and team, scaling ambitiously.

Requirements

5+ years in a senior operations role within warehouse or logistics.
Experience managing large teams and building high-performance cultures.
Strong grasp of WMS/ERP systems.
Data-driven approach to decision-making.
Track record of improving KPIs, productivity, and operational efficiency.
Solid knowledge of US health & safety regulations.
Sharp communication skills, comfortable presenting to senior leadership and on the warehouse floor.

Nice To Haves

Experience with WMS/ERP systems is a big plus.

Responsibilities

Designing and implementing the operational strategy for a brand-new US facility.
Building and leading a team of supervisors and warehouse operatives from the ground up.
Owning inventory control and collaborating with the UK supply chain team.
Setting KPIs, building reporting frameworks, and driving continuous improvement.
Leading health & safety compliance across the site.
Managing supplier and contractor relationships.
Working with the tech team to implement and embed a new WMS into daily operations.
