About The Position

Bikmo is the specialist cycle insurer with a mission to protect the world's riders. They cover a wide range of bikes and have established a strong partner network. Bikmo is currently experiencing significant growth with major global brands joining, AI integration, and the ambition to become the leading global specialist cycle insurer. This role is for a senior leader to drive strategy, manage the team, strengthen existing partnerships, secure new global brands, and position Bikmo globally within the cycling industry.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing partnerships, sales, or commercial teams, including line management of senior heads of function, ideally across multiple territories.
  • Demonstrable track record of owning and growing strategic partner relationships at a senior level, deepening value and retention over multi-year horizons.
  • Strong record of securing, launching, and scaling commercial partnerships, ideally with retailers, manufacturers, clubs, or membership organizations within cycling, outdoor, insurance, mobility, or related sectors.
  • Confident with budget and P&L ownership, pricing, and unit economics; able to drive a team toward profitable growth.
  • Experience embedding sales pipelines, CRM, forecasting, and reporting rhythms in a fast-growing business.
  • Comfortable operating within a regulated insurance distribution environment, working with Compliance to ensure partner onboarding, monitoring, and customer journeys deliver good outcomes under Consumer Duty.
  • Experience working across multiple markets (UK, EU, and ideally US), comfortable navigating different regulatory regimes, languages, and partner cultures.
  • Comfortable working with sales, analytics, and customer insights to drive decisions; actively using AI tools to raise productivity and quality of a commercial team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator, credible with senior partners, internal stakeholders, and own team.
  • Self-directed, comfortable with autonomy and accountability.
  • Strong instinct for efficiency.
  • Diligent by default, setting high standards for self and team.
  • Collaborative across time zones and working styles.
  • Ability to prove 'right to work' legally and compliantly in the relevant country.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Bikmo's Partnerships function globally, owning channel strategy, KPIs, and partner P&L in alignment with the CXO and CEO.
  • Take overall responsibility for the success of Bikmo's established partner network, including deepening relationships and growing value.
  • Lead the securing, launching, and scaling of new global brand partnerships across multiple territories.
  • Organize the team for growth, clarifying roles, embedding rhythms, and developing the team plan including hiring and capability development.
  • Embed operational discipline and the insurance distribution operating model, including pipeline management, CRM, forecasting, partner due diligence, onboarding, monitoring, and Consumer Duty alignment.
  • Line manage the Head of Partnerships UK+IE and the Head of Business Development; indirectly oversee the Partnerships Success Manager.
  • Partner closely with the Head of Bikmo for Business on cross-channel commercial alignment.
  • Represent Bikmo externally with senior partners, at industry events, and within the cycling, outdoor, and insurance ecosystems.
  • Own the partnerships operating plan, revenue forecasts, pipeline targets, and reporting cadence across UK+IE, EU, and selected global markets.
  • Manage commercial negotiations, contract terms, and partnership economics, monitoring unit economics and CAC.
  • Champion AI across the function to enhance team output, partner insight, and reduce cost-to-serve.
  • Take overall responsibility for the success of established partner relationships, driving growth in revenue, retention, and customer outcomes.
  • Lead the operational rollout of new global brand partnerships, coordinating technical integrations, marketing activation, and customer journeys.
  • Ensure partner outcomes related to customer experience, conversion, retention, and claims experience meet high standards.
  • Take operational ownership of insurance distribution within the partner channel, including due diligence, onboarding, contracting, monitoring, and Consumer Duty alignment.
  • Run an effective partner-monitoring framework covering financial, conduct, operational, and reputational risk.
  • Embed pipeline management, CRM hygiene, forecasting, and reporting for team efficiency and diligence.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and excellence, maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Act as a sustainability advocate driving positive innovation and change.
  • Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested.
