About The Position

QuestDB is seeking its first Head of Growth to manage the entire top-of-funnel process. This includes driving open-source adoption, nurturing the developer community, generating pipeline for enterprise sales, and establishing a strong presence at industry events. This is a hands-on builder role, reporting directly to the CEO and collaborating with the founding team, sales leads, and developer relations lead to translate product-market fit into a repeatable and compounding pipeline. The role requires a strategic thinker who can treat the open-source funnel as a product, instrument it for measurement, and scale inbound, outbound, and ABM motions targeting core ICPs in capital markets, crypto, and energy. A key aspect of the role involves owning the company's presence at critical industry events, building relationships with media and analysts, and driving organic traffic through SEO and emerging AI-based discovery methods. The ideal candidate will be fluent in leveraging agentic AI tooling to achieve 10x efficiency in growth operations.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in growth, marketing, or developer relations at a B2B infrastructure or developer-tools company, OR from a commercial role in capital markets or crypto with deep domain expertise and a buyer network.
  • Track record of scaling an open-source or bottom-up developer community into enterprise revenue.
  • Ability to credibly engage with technical buyers (CTOs, quant engineers, heads of trading tech), including understanding benchmarks and discussing latency.
  • Strong analytical skills, comfortable with SQL, fluent in attribution, and focused on meaningful metrics.
  • Native fluency with agentic AI tooling and a default approach to automation.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and small teams; experience in a zero-to-one role.

  • Experience at a commercial OSS company.
  • Existing network in trading technology or quantitative finance.
  • Technical fluency acquired through formal training, engineering experience, self-taught coding, open-source contributions, or close work with technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Drive open-source growth, including GitHub stars, Docker pulls, Slack community engagement, documentation interaction, and conversion from OSS users to commercial conversations.
  • Own the top-of-funnel pipeline generation alongside sales leads, building and scaling inbound, outbound, and ABM motions targeting core ICPs.
  • Manage QuestDB's presence at key industry events, conferences, and forums, including running customer panels, analyst roundtables, and building relationships with industry media and analysts.
  • Drive organic traffic through traditional SEO and position QuestDB for success in LLM-based discovery.
  • Build and maintain the analytics stack to measure the funnel end-to-end.
  • Leverage agentic AI tooling (e.g., Claude, Cursor, MCP integrations) to automate and scale growth operations, including enrichment, outbound sequencing, content generation, and competitive research.
