Head of Design

We are hiring a Head of Design to lead our design team. This role requires proven design excellence in consumer software, with experience leading design for a product that serves millions of users. The ideal candidate should also have the ability to manage teams in rapidly changing environments and possess operational excellence in scaling design operations. Attention to detail and the ability to provide constructive feedback on design work are also important qualities for this role.

• Proven design excellence in consumer software with 10+ years of experience as a designer and design leader
• Experience leading design for a consumer software product that serves millions of users
• Ability to navigate buy-in for major investments and pursue excellence in the face of competing priorities
• Capable manager in rapidly changing, ambiguous, high-stress environments
• Tailoring leadership style to the seniority, experiences, and strengths of individuals
• Expertise in scaling design operations, including the evolution of mature design systems, design and engineering process, and creative operations for marketing
• Ability to navigate tradeoffs between speed, quality, and cost
• Sharp eye and attention to detail for giving constructive feedback on any design work happening across the organization
• Demonstrated impact on product quality and innovation through attention to detail
• Insight-driven approach to design.
