About the position
We are seeking a Principal Product Designer to join our team at Propel. As a key member of our design leadership team, you will work closely with engineers, product managers, and executive leadership to strategize, ideate, and design features for our Providers app. Your role will involve viewing the app holistically and addressing challenges related to information architecture, navigation, and discoverability. With support from colleagues in Product Design, Brand, and UX Research, you will drive solutions to core business problems and set the tone for user-centric design. Responsibilities
- Lead product design for a small and agile team working across the entire Providers app experience.
- Collaborate closely with Design and Product Leadership to lead product strategy and contribute to the overall direction of the Providers app.
- View the app holistically and address challenges related to organizing a set of features for users, such as information architecture, navigation, and discoverability.
- Possess strong visual design skills and the ability to rapidly iterate and prototype new features in Figma.
- Gain a deep understanding of user needs and drive alignment around solutions to core business problems.
- Be the voice of the user while also driving business impact.
- Work in partnership with engineers, product managers, and executive leadership to strategize, ideate, and design best-in-class features for the future of the Providers app.
- Partner closely with the product team to deliver the best possible user experience and enable their experiments and learning.
Requirements
- Strong visual design skills
- Ability to rapidly iterate and prototype new features in Figma
- Systems thinking and ability to view the app holistically
- Experience with information architecture, navigation, and discoverability
- Ability to strategize, ideate, and design features for the future of the Providers app
- Collaboration with engineers, product managers, and executive leadership
- Drive alignment around solutions to core business problems
- Ability to be the voice of the user while driving business impact
- Experience in product design for a small and agile team
- Contribution to product strategy and overall direction of the Providers app
