About The Position

Elliptic is hiring a Head of Compliance Product to lead its core compliance product portfolio and define how those products evolve as AI reshapes compliance work. Elliptic’s screening, monitoring and investigation products are used by major exchanges, banks and government agencies. The role will shape AI-enabled compliance products with customers, with auditability and explainability built in.

This is a player-coach role reporting to the VP of Product. The successful candidate will lead and grow a team of product managers while personally owning some of the most challenging roadmap problems. The portfolio spans wallet and transaction screening, continuous monitoring, on-chain investigations and risk configuration, and includes product leadership for Elliptic’s agentic compliance programme. The product organisation is centred in London, with a growing US presence.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience building software products, including leading and developing product managers.
• A track record of taking an ambiguous problem in a complex domain from inception to a product that real users depend on.
• Product-side depth in financial crime compliance, such as transaction monitoring, screening, KYC/EDD or investigations, gained at an exchange, bank, fintech or compliance technology company.
• Working knowledge of crypto and blockchain.
• AI-native working practices, experience shipping AI or agentic capabilities to production, and ability to raise AI capability across teams.
• Strong executional rigour: ability to break complex problems into shippable steps, attend to quality-critical details and carry work through to completion.
• High self-sufficiency and comfort owning a broad remit amid ambiguity.
• Systems thinking and an ability to create repeatable processes that increase team leverage.
• A data-informed operating style, including instrumenting products, using evidence and revising views when data contradicts them.
• Sound judgement under ambiguity, including knowing which decisions to make quickly and which to defer.
• Comfort working in regulated, high-stakes environments, with attention to trust, explainability and defensibility.
• A strong focus on improving velocity and quality.

Responsibilities

• Own the vision, strategy and roadmap for Elliptic’s compliance portfolio and define how its products evolve as AI changes compliance work.
• Lead product for the agentic compliance programme, building AI capabilities that improve the speed and quality of compliance work while incorporating auditability and explainability.
• Lead, coach, develop and hire product managers, setting the standard for modern, AI-augmented product management.
• Stay close to customers through approaches such as design partnerships, analyst shadowing, product instrumentation and internal dogfooding; turn ambiguous market signals into a clear product direction.
• Prioritise and sequence new initiatives against the needs of existing products, explaining prioritisation decisions clearly.
• Execute rigorously, own outcomes, and improve both velocity and quality while using AI across personal and team workflows.
