About The Position

Elliptic is hiring a Head of Compliance Product to lead its core compliance products and define their future as AI transforms compliance work. The portfolio includes wallet and transaction screening, continuous monitoring, on-chain investigations, and risk configuration. The role also leads the product side of Elliptic’s agentic compliance programme alongside design partners, building AI capabilities that improve the speed and quality of compliance work while ensuring decisions are auditable and explainable.

This is a player-coach role reporting to the VP of Product. The successful candidate will lead, coach, and grow a team of product managers while personally owning some of the most challenging product problems. The role is focused on reinventing successful, deeply embedded products—not managing a compliance programme or serving only as a management layer. The product organisation is centred in London, with a growing US presence.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience building software products, including leading and developing product managers.
• A zero-to-one track record taking an ambiguous problem in a complex domain from inception to a product that real users depend on.
• Product-side depth in financial crime compliance, such as transaction monitoring, screening, KYC/EDD, or investigations, gained at an exchange, bank, fintech, or compliance technology company.
• Working knowledge of crypto and blockchain.
• Experience shipping AI or agentic capabilities to production and using AI as an embedded part of product work.
• Strong executional rigour, including breaking complex problems into shippable steps and maintaining quality through delivery.
• High self-sufficiency and comfort owning a broad remit while the direction is still being defined.
• Systems thinking and an ability to create repeatable processes that increase team leverage.
• A data-informed approach, including instrumenting products, using evidence, and adapting when data disagrees with assumptions.
• Sound judgement under ambiguity, including knowing when to make decisions quickly and when to keep options open.
• Comfort working in regulated, high-stakes environments, with attention to trust, explainability, and defensibility.
• A focus on continually improving product velocity and quality.

Responsibilities

• Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Elliptic’s compliance product portfolio and define its direction as AI reshapes compliance work.
• Lead product for the agentic compliance programme, developing AI capabilities with auditability and explainability designed in from the start.
• Lead, coach, develop, and grow a team of product managers; hire effectively and set standards for modern, AI-augmented product management.
• Stay close to customers through methods such as design partnerships, analyst shadowing, product instrumentation, and internal dogfooding.
• Translate ambiguous market signals into a clear view of what to build and why.
• Prioritise and sequence new product bets against the needs of existing products, making clear, reasoned decisions about what to pursue.
• Execute rigorously, owning outcomes and improving velocity and quality together.
• Use AI in personal and team workflows to learn faster and deliver better products.
