About The Position

At Verizon, the Head Materiel Attendant helps ensure Operations employees have the supplies they need to keep customers connected. The role involves ordering, receiving, storing, and tracking supplies, materials, and tools; arranging pickups and deliveries; and supporting daily warehouse operations. The attendant also directs Drivers and Material Attendants and operates material-moving equipment. The position requires lifting and carrying boxes and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds and meeting Department of Transportation physical qualification requirements. Work may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and unscheduled shifts based on business needs. This is an onsite, worksite-based role with 40 scheduled hours per week.

Requirements

• Valid state driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Prior experience in warehousing or the supplies field.
• Meet Department of Transportation physical qualification requirements for the job.

• Related Associate Degree or 2 or more years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Order, receive, and store supplies, materials, and tools.
• Determine order quantities and frequency, and maintain stock levels.
• Schedule pickups and make deliveries.
• Operate material-moving equipment and lift or carry boxes and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Direct Drivers and Material Attendants during daily operations.
• Work evenings, weekends, holidays, and unscheduled shifts as business needs require.
