About The Position

At Verizon, the Head Materiel Attendant helps ensure Operations employees have the supplies they need to keep customers connected. The role is responsible for ordering, receiving, storing, and distributing supplies, materials, and tools while maintaining appropriate stock levels. The attendant also directs Drivers and Material Attendants during daily operations. This is an onsite, worksite-based role with 40 scheduled hours per week. The position may require evenings, weekends, holidays, and unscheduled shifts based on business needs.

Requirements

• Valid state driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Prior experience in warehousing or the supplies field.
• Ability to meet Department of Transportation physical qualification requirements.
• Ability to operate material-moving equipment and lift or carry items weighing up to 75 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Related associate degree or at least 2 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Order, receive, and store supplies, materials, and tools.
• Determine supply order quantities and frequency, and maintain stock levels.
• Schedule pick-ups and make deliveries.
• Operate material-moving equipment and lift or carry boxes and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Direct Drivers and Material Attendants during daily operations.
• Meet Department of Transportation physical qualification requirements.
• Work evenings, weekends, holidays, and unscheduled shifts as business needs require.
