About The Position

The Head Golf Coach will direct and oversee all coaching duties of the Golf program, coordinating all aspects of recruitment, scheduling, training, academics and budget management. This role involves evaluating and recruiting qualified student athletes who can excel both academically and athletically, while promoting an environment that emphasizes academics and graduation. The coach is responsible for instructing and developing team and individual practices, scheduling competitions, and managing all travel arrangements. Additionally, the position requires coordinating fundraising and community service events, and ensuring knowledge and commitment to NAIA, HBCUAC, and Wiley University rules, policies, and procedures. The Head Golf Coach will also manage operating and scholarship budgets while maintaining roster requirements, and perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• Two or more years of collegiate coaching and/or playing experience
• Collegiate recruiting experience
• Effective communication (verbal and written)
• Proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree preferred
