About The Position

Boulder Valley School District is seeking a Head Coach for its 8th-grade boys' basketball program at Broomfield Heights Middle School. The coach instructs and works with athletes to prepare them for competition and is responsible for the overall IS basketball program. The position is scheduled from October 27, 2026, through December 11, 2026, and is listed as Extra Duty, FTE 1.0. The position reports to the school principal.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be able to communicate in English (read, write, and speak).
• Complete and submit the BVSD online application.

Nice To Haves

• At least 3 years of coaching experience.
• Knowledge of all aspects of school athletic/activity programming.
• Proven leadership qualities and successful experience working with middle school students.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all boys' basketball teams.
• Develop expectations and provide direction for the IS basketball program.
• Track student eligibility and academic progress.
• Prepare the team for competition.
• Teach fundamental basketball skills.
• Communicate with parents, players, staff, and others.
• Follow school district regulations and policies.
