About The Position

The Riverdale School District is seeking a Head Coach for the 5th/6th Grade Boys Basketball program. This limited-term coaching position runs from November 2026 to February 2027. The coach will be responsible for leading a successful program, overseeing all facets of a community youth program, and serving as a role model for student-athletes. The role involves managing training, practice schedules, and routines, hiring and overseeing assistant coaches, communicating with parents, tracking academic progress, and encouraging participation in other school sports. The coach will also lead student-athletes in supporting other Riverdale School District athletics and activities and develop an off-season program.

Requirements

• High ethical and professional standards.
• Complete OSAA Coaching Certifications
• NFHS/ASEP Certification
• First Aid Card (CPR and AED trained)
• District Fingerprinting/Criminal Check

Responsibilities
