This position analyzes, designs, and simulates the EMR system and creates, conducts, and maintains related training programs. The Instructional Designer integrates new processes with existing procedures, communicates changes, and participates in implementation with impacted teams. The role focuses on instructional design for Pharmacy workflows within Epic, supporting both inpatient and outpatient environments and bridging acute-care pharmacy models—such as central pharmacy, sterile compounding, and clinical verification—with retail-care workflows such as prescription intake, insurance adjudication, and patient counseling. Training solutions support order verification, medication administration, barcode scanning, e-prescribing, and retail dispensing. The role develops training collateral, online courseware, assessments, training environments, schedules, plans, and project deliverables. It also conducts EMR instruction, manages training-related project tasks, maintains policy and procedure documentation, provides user support, and serves as a liaison to users to solve problems and identify operational-system improvements. An associate's degree in Adult Education, Business Administration, or a related field is required. No prior experience or existing license or certification is required; Epic certification must be earned within six months of hire.
