About The Position

General Atlantic is seeking a high-performing Senior Associate to join our Global Benefits team in New York. This role will support the administration and continuous improvement of the firm’s global employee benefits programs, contributing to a best-in-class employee experience. The Senior Associate will play a key role in managing day-to-day benefits operations, supporting vendor partnerships, and ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and effectiveness of benefits offerings across regions. This individual will serve as a key execution partner to the Senior Director, supporting the delivery and ongoing enhancement of global benefits programs. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, analytical rigor, and a proactive mindset, along with the ability to navigate complex benefits programs in a global environment. This position reports to the Senior Director of Global Benefits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5–8 years of relevant HR or related experience
  • Background in the financial services industry strongly preferred
  • Experience with Workday or other HRIS platforms preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
  • Highly analytical with sound judgment; able to think critically and adapt quickly
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills; able to deliver high-quality work under pressure
  • Exceptional attention to detail with consistent follow-through
  • Self-directed, proactive, and effective in a fast-paced, high-performing global environment
  • Collaborative and comfortable partnering cross-functionally
  • Professional maturity and confidence interacting with senior stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Support and execute day-to-day administration of global benefits programs, including health, retirement, wellness, and leave programs
  • Manage employee inquiries and provide high-quality support and guidance on benefits offerings
  • Coordinate and execute benefits enrollment processes, including new hires and annual enrollment cycles
  • Ensure accuracy of benefits data across systems and vendors
  • Partner with external benefits providers and brokers to support ongoing service delivery
  • Assist with vendor performance tracking, issue resolution, and escalation management
  • Support renewals, contract updates, and vendor communications
  • Support compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and international requirements)
  • Support the maintenance of plan documentation, filings, and audit readiness
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to company policies and governance standards
  • Support the development and distribution of benefits communications and educational materials
  • Support initiatives to enhance employee engagement and understanding of benefits programs
  • Contribute to ongoing enhancements of benefits programs, policies, and processes
  • Support and execute on projects such as new vendor implementations, program rollouts, or policy updates
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and employee experience
