About The Position

Peraton is hiring an onsite Hardware Technician at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. The role provides technical support for computers and associated networks, including installation, troubleshooting, servicing, and repair of personal computers, network equipment, related software, telephones, cables, and connectors. The technician supports internal and/or external customers, diagnoses hardware, software, and network problems, and resolves them or obtains additional technical support as needed. The position also maintains network diagrams, circuit records, and trouble logs; instructs users; investigates user information, network, and communications needs; recommends software and hardware purchases; and performs basic PC, PBX, and network software programming.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree, or four years of experience in lieu of a degree.
IT hardware installation and maintenance experience.
Current Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI with CI Poly.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for computers and associated networks.
Install, troubleshoot, service, and repair personal computers, network equipment such as servers, modems, and multiplexers, related PC software, telephones, cables, and connectors.
Provide personal computer, hardware, and software support to internal and/or external customers.
Diagnose reported hardware, software, and network problems; resolve problems or obtain additional technical support as necessary.
Maintain network diagrams and circuit records, maintain trouble logs, and instruct users in the use of computers.
Investigate information, network, and communications needs of users and recommend software and hardware purchases.
Perform basic PC, PBX, and network software programming.
