Hardware Technician
About The Position
Peraton is hiring an onsite Hardware Technician at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. The role provides technical support for computers and associated networks, including installing, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing personal computers, network equipment, related software, telephones, cables, and connectors. The technician supports internal and/or external customers with hardware and software, diagnoses reported issues, maintains network diagrams and circuit records, and helps users with computer use. The role also investigates users’ information, network, and communications needs and makes recommendations about software and hardware purchases. Basic PC, PBX, and network software programming is part of the position.
Requirements
- BS/BA degree or four years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- IT hardware installation and maintenance experience.
- Current Secret Clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI with CI Poly.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for computers and associated networks.
- Install, troubleshoot, service, and repair personal computers, network equipment such as servers, modems, and multiplexers, related PC software, telephones, cables, and connectors.
- Provide personal computer, hardware, and software support to internal and/or external customers.
- Diagnose reported hardware, software, and network problems; resolve problems or arrange additional technical support as necessary.
- Maintain network diagrams and circuit records, maintain trouble logs, and instruct users in the use of computers.
- Investigate users’ information, network, and communications needs and recommend software and hardware purchases.
- Perform basic PC, PBX, and network software programming.
