About The Position

The Hardware System Integration Electrical Engineer will own key aspects of electrical system design and integration for MacBook Air, defining, designing, and validating electrical subsystems. The role involves solving system-level tradeoffs among performance, battery life, thermals, reliability, manufacturability, and industrial design within a space-constrained consumer product. The engineer collaborates with mechanical engineering, Apple Silicon, software, and module technology teams to deliver product designs and improve user experience. The engineer is responsible for subsystem schematic design, simulation, debugging, and validation, and serves as the Design Responsible Individual (DRI). This includes presenting design proposals and tradeoffs, leading technical discussions, and building alignment through design reviews. The role continues through mass production, partnering with manufacturing and operations to support factory builds, resolve line-down issues, investigate manufacturing issues and yield excursions, and implement improvements to product quality, manufacturability, and production efficiency. International travel may be required.

Requirements
